Can you tell me about Key West?
Famous for its history, this tropical island is home to famous landmarks such as the Southernmost Point in the United States, Ernest Hemingway's Museum with the 6-toed cats, Fort Zachary Taylor, and a spooky above ground cemetery to name a few. Offering more than historical landmarks, the Key West is also home to famous places such as Mel Fisher Museum, Sloppy Joe's Bar and Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville.

Do we need a car?
Key West is a small town. You won't need a car. Most of the sights, bars, and restaurants are in easy walking distance. You can also rent bikes, golf carts, and scooters to get around. If you are driving yourself, obey all speed limits and be prepared for parking to be difficult.

How do people dress?
Key West is really casual. A sundress for ladies and khaki shorts for guys is as dressed up as anyone ever gets. In the same vein, there are no “Miami-style” clubs, with long lines, expensive cover charges, and dress codes.

Are there beaches in Key West?
There are a two beaches in Key West; the most popular is located at Fort Zachary Taylor at the southern end of the park. But between you and me, the beach scene in Miami is much better. Go to the Keys to explore. Go to Miami for the beach. That being said, Key West is a great watersports destination, so bring a bathing suit and sunscreen, if you plan to get wet.
